Marie is a museum educator, independent curator, and artist living in Miami, Florida.
Marie Vickles, is the Knight Associate Director of Education, School, Outreach and Studio Programs at Pérez Art Museum Miami, an independent curator, and artist living in Miami, Florida. She is currently the Curator-in-Residence at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex. Marie has administered and organized arts educational programs, workshops and exhibitions across the United States and the Caribbean for over 15 years. She completed her studies at F.I.T. in New York City, and Florida State University which includes degrees in both Visual Arts and Public Administration. In her work as an arts educator she is concerned with the development of new ways to bridge the connections between creativity and community engagement, with the goal of encouraging livability through the arts. Marie currently serves the City of Miami as a member of the Arts and Entertainment Council.
